Get closer to completing the water balance equation with this system that helps you nail two tough components: storage and deep percolation.

Measure Deep Drainage

The Drain Gauge is elegantly designed to make sure water flows through and not around it, giving you an accurate deep percolation rate.

Measure Storage

High-accuracy water content sensors let you calculate storage from differences in profile water content.

Vertical Water Profile

Together, the elements of this bundle give you the downward "vertical water profile"--incoming, storage, and drainage in the vadose zone.  Add a weather sensor bundle to complete the evapotranspiration side of the water balance equation.

Includes:

Drain Gauge. Instead of estimating deep drainage, measure it to reduce errors in water balance calculations.

5TM Soil Moisture/Soil Temperature Sensors (3). Measure water storage and soil temperature using dielectric water content sensors at different depths in the profile.

High Resolution Rain Gauge. Measure incoming water values for water balance calculations.

Em50 Data Logger. Plug in the sensors, set time and measurement intervals, and start logging data. No programming necessary. Monitor wirelessly by upgrading to the Em50G or Em50R.

DataTrac 3 Software. Dynamic graphical interface brings data to life.
