Application: Plant Water Stress

Leaf-Porometer1.jpg

SC-1 Leaf Porometer for Stomatal Conductance Measurements

Accurate, Affordable, Practical Stomatal Conductance The SC-1's breakthrough steady-state technology makes getting accurate stomatal conductance measurements affordable and practical for everyday research. No Moving Parts The SC-1's steady state…

Em50.jpg

Em50 Digital/Analog Data Logger

This self-contained logger will power and read any Decagon sensor. Runs for one to three years (depending on measurement intervals) on 5 AA batteries. Stores over 36,000 scans in 1 MB memory. RS-232 serial or USB connection to download data. Download software included.

MPS1-Cutout.jpg

MPS-1 Dielectric water potential sensor

Water potential data with the simplicity of a soil moisture sensor—no maintenance required. Range: -10 to -500 kPa (pF 2 to pF 3.71), moderate accuracy with factory calibration.

SmartFieldLysimeter2.jpg

Smart Field Lysimeter

Large-scale lysimeter measurements in a smaller package and a lower price. A complete small weighable and tension controlled field lysimeter. Combined with tensiometers, soil moisture sensors, data logger with optional GPRS modem, lightning protection, and powered by solar panels. This is the idea of the UMS Smart Field Lysimeter.

Water Potential Sensors

Water potential measurements are used to determine whether or not water will move and to predict where it will go. Available sensors include a maintenance-free dielectric sensor and UMS's line of sophisticated tensiometers.
