5TE reading vwc is always constant Link to this post

    10 November 2010 at 4:38am

I deployed the 5TE in different location, but the reading on vwc is always constant

    "32 30 34 37 35 31 20 30 20 36 37 30 0D 7A 27" (hex)

There were changes on the temperature, and I reconfirm the value with thermometer.
So, my assumption is 5TE sensor is working fine.

But why vwc is always constant, "204751"?

    Thanks.

Hi, we need a little more information before we can proceed here. What type of system are you reading these sensors with? What excitation voltage are you supplying? Read in air, what is the raw value for VWC? If you place the sensor in water, what raw VWC does it give you? Do the EC and temp change?
