The cost of lysimeters will vary depending on the number of lysimeter per station that are installed and how they are instrumented. The cost for a single lysimeter system will likely start around $30 to $40 thousand for a more basic system. New small-scale weighing lysimeters are a lower cost option that still allow you to get the same precision data as you would get with a larger lysimeter.
