Hello,
I am attempting to connect 5TM sensor to a datalogger (datataker DT80 series 2) using SDI-12 Device. Connection are ok and was checked twice but when I send an instruction (for exemple SDI12SEND 6 "?!" which means that sensor is plugged on channel 6D of the datalogger) to the sensor I always get a "*no response" message.
I also tried to plug the three other sensors we bought but I get the same issue.
Do you know if there are special things to do when using datataker?
Thanks!
Pierre

Hello Pierre,
I am not familiar with the Datataker personally. How does the Datataker power the sensor? Is it continuous 12V or a discrete pulse? Just so that we are on the same page you have white to power (4-16V), red to dataline, and bare wire to ground? I will get in touch with some of my contacts that are familiar with the DT80 and see what they have encountered.

Hello Virgil,
my problem is now solved thanks to technical support of datataker. It did not work because I had not turn on the power to the sensor.
It can help others, in dEX logger software :
Click on "On logger activation"
Click on "Add"
Select " Manual channel"
Enter a name
In the text box enter 1SSPWR=1
Now all is working good!
Thanks.
Pierre
