Sensor installation orientation Link to this post

I think vertical installation is not the perfect one as it does not fully allow water to reach your rods. To my knowledge the ideal is the one with an angle or horizontally. What do you think?

I think that a vertical installation is fine because water in saturated and unsaturated soils moves both vertically and horizontally, and I don't think that having the sensor in place significantly affects or alters vertical water movement in the soils.
