AquaLab Verification Standards
Inquire about our automatic ordering system. It allows you to create a recurring order of verification standards and/or sample cups based on your historical purchase pattern.
Your AquaLab should be checked daily (or once per shift) against one of Decagon's Verification Standards. These standards are salt solutions that have a specific molality and water activity. Verification checks can alert you to the possibility of a contaminated sensor or other factors that may have shifted the linear offset (see your Operator's Manual for linear offset details).
We offer five water activity levels:
- 1.000aw (distilled water)
- 0.984aw (0.5m KCl)
- 0.760aw (6.0m NaCl)
- 0.500aw (8.57m LiCl)
- 0.250aw (13.41m LiCl)
A variety pack of 12 vials is sent with your instrument purchase. Additional standards can be purchased in boxes of 50.
Though it is possible to mix your own verification standards, this process can be inaccurate and time-consuming.
