ECH2O Wireless Data Logging System
A complete ECH2O system consists of multiple Em5OR data loggers, soil moisture and sensors, a receiving station (RM-1 or DataStation) and DataTrac Software. The Em50R loggers transmit data via a 900 MHz or 2.5 GHz radio transmission so that you can obtain data from remote sites quickly and easily.
Em50R Datalogger
The Em50R has a radio telemetry module that can transfer data to a DataStation or Rm1. The radio module uses 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz spread spectrum RF communication (depending on government regulations). Broadcast range depends on radio type and terrain/interference, but all loggers have an external RSMA connector for use with antennas.
DataStation
The DataStation remotely collects and stores data from any number of Em50R data loggers programmed to "transmit only" or "confirmed delivery" mode. When you download the data to your computer, DataTrac software (sold separately) assigns the data from each logger to its proper location.
RM-1
The Rm1 is a radio modem used for real-time connection to the Em50R data loggers. The RM-1 can also be used as a repeater in the wireless system. Use the Rm1 with to change the logger name, logger date/time, sampling interval, and ports sensors assignments. You can also use it to download logged data all remotely from the convenience of your computer.
DataTrac
ECH2O DataTrac is the premier ECH2O System software designed to help you organize and visualize your measurement data. DataTrac is particularly useful for the researcher who has several data measurement sites and doesn't want the hassle of managing the data after each download. It is the only ECH2O software that lets you easily apply custom calibration to sensor data.
